At Portage Park Animal Hospital, we have assembled an amazing team of professionals to help you and your pet. From our doctors to the front desk to the room assistants and our support staff, we’re all here to make sure your pet feels comfortable while receiving the highest quality care.
First and foremost, it’s important for your pets to feel like they can trust the people who are looking out for their best interest. This is why our staff works hard to get to know you and your pet. The more knowledge we have about preferences and behaviors, the more likely our animal hospital will be able to provide for your pet’s needs in a way that makes him or her feel more comfortable. We work hard to make sure your pet gets the quality care he or she requires, as well as the personal, compassionate attention they deserve.
Lenette L. Renier DiCiaula, MS, DVM
Dr. Lenette L. Renier DiCiaula, DVM has been a part of the Portage Park Animal Hospital family since 1995. She is a 1994 graduate of the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. DiCiaula’s special interests include dentistry, laser surgery, and internal medicine.
Prior to becoming a Veterinarian, Dr. DiCiaula was a high school Biology teacher at Good Counsel High School. Dr. DiCiaula also has her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees from Loyola University in Chicago.
Dr. DiCiaula’s hobbies include hauling hockey/gymnastic bags, reading, photography and the theatre.
Katerina Tremlova, DVM
Dr. Tremlova joined our family in September 2005. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kate completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago and has close ties to the city along with an appreciation for its architecture. She is an avid Illini fan, but cheers for the Chicago White Sox and Bears as well.
Dr. Tremlova was born in the Czech Republic, where her father is a practicing Veterinarian. She came to the United States as a little girl over 20 years ago with 2 suitcases, 4 boxes of toys, and boundless optimism. She is proud to be following in her father’s footsteps.
Dr. Tremlova’s interests include internal medicine and surgery. Outside of work she enjoys traveling with her family. She shares her home with her cats Henry, Anais, and Guinness and her dog Gidget.
Melissa Tobin, DVM
Dr. Melissa Tobin joined our practice in June of 2014. She graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine with honors. Dr. Tobin completed her undergraduate degree at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts prior to relocating to Chicago.
Dr. Tobin’s professional interests include internal medicine, ophthalmology, and dermatology. She is a member of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
She is an avid sports fan, enjoys running throughout the city, and playing with her Boxer, Chase.
Taryn Robinette, DVM
Dr. Robinette joined the Portage Park Animal Hospital family in 2017. Prior to that, she worked as a general practitioner and then completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship in Hollywood, Florida. She spent the following year working as an emergency veterinarian.
Dr. Robinette graduated from the University of Florida with her DVM and a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Go Gators! Her professional interests include rehabilitation, internal medicine, and emergency and critical care. She is currently finishing her Master of Public Health, as well as becoming certified in Canine Rehabilitation.
In her free time, Dr. Robinette enjoys going to the theater and visiting the various museums Chicago has to offer, as well as spend time with her dog, Farfell.
Paige Baedke, DVM
Growing up in rural Virginia with a variety of pets, Dr. Paige decided at an early age that veterinary medicine was her calling. After earning her undergraduate degree at James Madison University, she went on to the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine to receive her doctorate.
She definitely has a soft spot for our cat patients after working at a feline rescue for many years. In addition, she is especially interested in internal medicine and endocrinology issues in cats.
In her free time, Dr. Paige spends time with her two cats and her very personable leopard gecko. She is new to Chicago, so be sure to let her know your go-to places in the neighborhood.

Roger Schrock, DVM
After a 40-year career in veterinary medicine, I’ve now retired from seeing patients at the hospital I founded in 1985. But don’t worry, you’ll still see me in the clinic from time to time. I’ve left the hospital’s management in the excellent hands of our senior veterinarians and staff.
I’m looking forward to spending more time with my family at Schrock Farm in Indiana, overseeing our beef cattle, chicken, and turkey operations. Not to mention watching our corn, soybeans, wheat, hay, and trees grow. I am truly a country boy at heart.
I’m forever grateful to the Portage Park community for supporting me, my family, and our staff. Although not actively involved, my heart and soul will always be with the good folks of Portage Park. For over half of my life, I built the clinic with the philosophy of providing excellent state-of-the-art veterinary care. Together we will continue our tradition of excellence as the best is yet to come.
